Hey girl hey! I am so glad you are here. My mission is to empower, uplift and inspire mamas to be, new mamas, busy mamas and all women in general through fashion. When we look good, we feel good. And when we feel good, we are unstoppable!
Hello & Welcome Ladies!
I’m Katie! A 30 year old mama to my beautiful one year old daughter, Astyn Delilah. Fashion and bringing women together is my passion. I created this blog to share style tips with my fellow mamas and create a positive community for all women, of all walks of life. It is my personal belief that today’s fashion is not for the majority, us “everyday” women. I mean, how many of us moms feel comfortable in crop tops and tattoo necklaces we rocked back in middle school? So, I am making it my mission to uplift women through practical style advice. As cliche as it sounds, when we look good we feel good.
In 2010, I graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor’s of Science in Apparel and Textiles. After graduating I landed a temp design and production position with Vera Wang, where I gained an invaluable amount of experience and knowledge. In 2011, I became the office coordinator for Steve Madden’s corporate office. Best job EVER! Then in 2013, my husband hit me with the big news that he wanted to join the Air Force. I was nervous to leave behind my family, my friends, NY and my career. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to see most of this beautiful country and have met so many incredible people!
I gave birth to our daughter in 2018 and am blessed to be able to stay at home with her. While it has been great to be able to experience all her firsts, there was a little part of me that was feeling unfulfilled. I’ve always worked and really enjoyed it. I know, weird right?! I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on my passions and what sets my soul on fire. And that is how I came up with Darlin’ Delilah, a fashion blog specifically for us mamas.
I am so excited to have you come along on this journey of uplifting, inspiring and connecting women. It truly is a beautiful thing to see women cheering on other women.
